Flip a switch on 28th March

Damn! I wanted to put a gadget of Earth Hour on my sidebar but it seems the url doesn't work. Anyway do check it out if you stumble across here =) Some of you may have already heard about it some may have not. Earth Hour is a movement that started in one city, Sydney back in 2007. The whole entire city flip a switch and that was it all the lights emitting from those high rises, skyscrapers, ad boards, signs, street lamps were all turned off for that very moment. It grew bigger into a global event by 2008, 35 countries 370 million cities participated; Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.

This year in 2009 with the goal of 1 billion people switching off their lights in hope to save the earth from global warming. This is a global vote, doesn't matter which country you are from or what color is your skin just VOTE EARTH. It is a global call to action for every individual, every business, and every community. Over 74 countries and territories have pledged their support to VOTE EARTH during Earth Hour 2009, and this number is growing everyday.

VOTE EARTH by simply switching off your lights for one hour, and join the world for Earth Hour.
